7.  Nels E. Nelson. From my grandfather Nels Christensen's album. Nels was born in Helligkilde, Hvidberg, Ringkobing, Thyholm, Refs, Thisted, Denmark in 1856.

8. Lynda Sophra Nelson. From the Marion and Mabel Christensen album. Lynda Nelson shown leaving the stage. Lynda was an actress and singer who much later performed at the Chicago World's fair on a floating stage. Lynda took voice lessons in Paris, France and traveled to several other countries. This picture was taken in about 1918. 

9. Mattie and Mary Nelson. From the Marion and Mabel Christensen album. My great-great-aunt Mattie Nelson on the left was an actress. She performed in a production of "The Gingerbread Man" at a theatre which I think was near Loyola University in Chicago, IL. On the right is my great-grandmother Mary Nelson. This picture was taken in Chicago sometime before 1898.

West/Barker  From an unknown author: After a lot of puzzling, I believe I can positively identify most of the people in this picture, leaving only two to guess at, one of who I believe to be Arthur Joseph West, Aunt Win's father. L - R (Back) Win West, Granma West (Savage), Frank Carpenter L- R (Middle) Unknown, but probably Arthur Joseph West, Jessie Barker West, his wife, Aunt Win's mother. To her right, Alice Maude Carpenter (nee Redman, FEAR's sister) Front: Muriel West (born 1907) and probably Lewis Carpenter (born 1909) - the ages look about right.

 

               McBride, Atwood, Brace and Shields Families

 1. Pervine Atwood was b. September 27, 1822 near Terre Haute, IN. He spent time in White and Edgar Counties of Illinois and then was one of the largest land owners in Green County, WI. Back Row L-R: Emma Rhoda Atwood b. 1860, Luella Jane Atwood b. 1857, Mary Viola Atwood b. 1856, Arrillious William Atwood b. 1853, James Pervine Atwood b. 1855. In front are: Martha Jane (ONeil) Atwood b. 1833 and Pervine Atwood b. 1822. Picture was most likely taken between 1865 - 1868. Pervine and Martha are not actually related to me but I like the picture. This picture came from Cindy Wheeler.

2. Ezekiel McBride family. The McBride family home most likely near Monroe, Wisconsin. Based on what I think are the bustle type hoop skirts, I would date this photograph between 1870 - 1880. but it could be a little bit later. It is most likely Ezekiel and Mary (Hampton) McBride and one of their children. The older woman does not really fit the description of Emma (Williams) McBride and I believe this is too early for the family of Artis "Edward" McBride. Mary (Hampton) McBride was born at Wheeling, WV and Ezekiel McBride was born at Stony Creek, White County, TN. They moved to Bartholomew County, IN and then to Green County, WI. This picture came from Cindy McBride.
