Last Will and Testament of Lucinda (Lewis) Barker
I Luncinda Barker being as my own appraiser and of sound mind and memory do make and declare this my last will and testament as follows. First whereas on the second day of April, 1853 I conveyed to my son James B. Barker certain lands on No. 9 in the town of Sugar Creek on certain conditions in said deed mentioned so therefore I devise to my said son all my estate in said lands in all claims that I or my said heirs have in the same upon his paying the sum here in after mentioned as to be paid by him. Second I will and direct my said son to pay the sum of two hundred dollars to my two daughters Diana and Lura and my son Timothy in equal shares. Third all the rest of my property which consists of my clothing and household furniture I give to my three daughters in equal shares and request them to make the division thereof amoung themselves. In witness whereof I here unto sign my name this 14th day of October 1882. Signed in the presence of (?) and Thomas L. K. Day. Lucinda Barker X her mark.
